Time saved:

Approximately 81%

30 min 11 sec less time in this measured comparison.

One experienced tester, one run on a fictional store. Results will vary by site and workflow.

What the comparison included

The same experienced SEO practitioner completed both workflows, working manually first and using CleverSEO afterwards. Each workflow covered a different set of five products, five pages and five images.

Manual workflow

  • Read the page or product content and inspect the images.
  • Prepare text using the practitioner’s usual tools, including a general-purpose AI assistant.
  • Enter meta titles and descriptions in Rank Math.
  • Enter image alt text in the WordPress media library.
  • Save each item.

CleverSEO + Premium

  • Run the internal audit.
  • Generate fix suggestions.
  • Read and review each suggested value.
  • Approve all 25 suggestions individually.
  • Apply the values through Premium.

The CleverSEO workflow included 2 min 38 sec for the audit and suggestion generation, and 4 min 18 sec for review and individual approval. Setup was completed before timing began. A separate verification pause after the audit was excluded. Crawling was disabled throughout the measurement.

Analysis

How to interpret the result

This was one measurement by one experienced SEO practitioner on a fictional store. It compares the time spent preparing and saving meta titles, meta descriptions and image alt text. It does not measure search rankings, traffic or the time required for a complete SEO project.

The manual workflow was completed first. The original randomized A/B assignment was not followed, so the groups were identified afterwards from the work actually completed. Product and page word counts remained within the planned balance tolerance of ±20%.

All 25 CleverSEO suggestions were accepted without editing in this run. On another site, reviewing, editing or rejecting suggestions may take more time. The images were simple generated illustrations rather than photographs.

The measured saving applies to this test and workflow. Results will vary with the site’s content, the user’s experience and the amount of review required.

Test environment:

  • Measurement date: 29 October 2026
  • Website: Fictional online store
  • WordPress: 7.1.4
  • WooCommerce: 11.2.1
  • Rank Math: 1.0.280
  • CleverSEO for WP: 0.16.22
  • CleverSEO Premium for WP: 1.1.6
  • Crawling: Disabled

These are the versions used for this measurement, not a list of current minimum requirements.
